A comprehensive catalog of quantum error mitigation and suppression techniques
Inspired by the Complexity Zoo and the Error Correction Zoo, the QEM Zoo aims to be a living reference for all known quantum error mitigation (QEM) and quantum error suppression (QES) methods. The need for such a resource was identified as an open problem in Cai et al. (2023).
This page catalogs quantum error mitigation (QEM) and quantum error suppression (QES) protocols. Mitigation techniques reduce the effect of noise through classical post-processing, while suppression techniques prevent errors from occurring in the first place. See also Techniques for supporting methods like noise scaling and extrapolation, and Noise for the types of errors these protocols address.
